Have a couple of orders with fw now.
Have a couple of orders with fw now.
Overall the prices are extremely high for what you get, but if that was the only problem I'm fortunate enough to be ok with it.
The quality of the resin is poor, very brittle.
The quality of the cast is very random.
My first order was acceptable no major issues. The next one was not that great, mould were misaligned, but that was relatively small.
Last order, was awful, atrocity bubbles in the cast, 2mm misaligned moulds, on a 6mm scale plane, that's not something that you can fix easily, and really not something that you would expect from a 20€ figurine.
And at this point I got involved with customer support, and oh boy are they useless.
Needless to say that in the future I won't hesitate a second to get my stuff 3d printed.

Unable to correct issues with address before postage
Unfortunately, I had not noticed the the Mywarhammer account consolidation had linked to an old FW account with an old postal address. I noticed as soon as the order confirmation came back, minutes later. I changed my default address to the correct one and mailed them about the problem. Unfortunately the order got posted earlier than anticipated, just a few hours after I made it, and my mail had not been processed yet. Nothing can be done, and now I have to travel to my old address in a couple of weeks (I have Covid) and hope they admit to having it as it is obviously worth some money on ebay! A lot of faff that could be avoided if they just allowed for adress changes within the first couple of order stages, perhaps. I recognise I am significantly to blame also, but I found FW staff to be rather unhelpful in this frustrating situation, enough to leave this review.

Lack of Communication, HUGE Delays
I love Games Workshop models, games, and background, but US Forge World's customer service is *terrible*. I've made a couple of pre-orders recently, and all the pages and automated emails say they'll ship pre-orders within four days of the release date. Every single time, it has taken a month or more, and emails asking for updates are met with days-late replies with no real information. I understand if there are supply problems, but they need to update their site and automated emails and start replying honestly and candidly to requests for order updates. If they want more of my business or better reviews, changes need to be made.

With kits cost over £1,000 you would think that if you misplace a component or accidentally damage one then FW would be able to sell you a replacement piece. Not so. Not even as a one-off or as a gesture of goodwill.
Despite sending multiple emails the only response I got was a stuck record of that they can't help and I have to check out fansites/forums for help. After doing so I received help from recasters and people with 3D printers. I even told FW this and all they said was that it was disappointing but they still couldn't help. Crazy customer service. The only silver lining is that I've found a couple of great recasters and a chap who's got access to STL files for the full kit. I know it won't be a genuine component but, once painted, no one will be able to tell the difference :)

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. Ordered from them twice - there was an issue the second time because a piece broke in the post and they replaced it within days of emailing them

Refused to honor a deal advertised on…
Refused to honor a deal advertised on their website. They advertised free shipping but instead charged me $10. When I emailed them to complain they refused to honor the deal and claimed it was a marketing mistake but the deal was still being advertised on their website. When I asked to cancel my order they waited two whole days (until after it shipped) and then just let me know it can't be cancelled. I really didn't feel like they are about their customers.

Deathshroud Terminators Forgeworldf not worth the $$ of the hassle
Deathshroud Terminators. GW has been out of stock with the standard range for so long thst I was elated when FW came out with a set. First problem is that there is no assembly guide. Emailed them and waited a week before being told I needed the order number. Nonsense. And it was a gift. After escalating I did finally get an emailed set of instructions for a different model of Deathshroud Terminators. And the chimes were missing. Wrote back two weeks ago and no response at all. After all, they got paid. What more would they care about? Actualy getting repeat business? Nope. And I am looking into the price of 3-D printers. Not cheap, but given GW pricing, it will pay for itself even if I don't "share" the printed models with mates at the place in Midtown Manhattan that needs no name:-))
Awful service
Awful service - placed an order 9 days ago and still it has not been dispatched. Emailed them enquiring as to the progress 2 days ago and still no response from any representative. Spoke to
Forgeworld customer service 5 days ago who promised to update me and expedite the process... still nothing.
This company are shambolic at best in their ability to deliver.

Lost order
Ordered a few products and they managed to lose 2 items altogether, when a query was raised they couldn't tell me any correct information telling me my order shipped before I placed it.
After failing to get any further response for about 2 weeks I got onto someone and they tried to help but the team it was escalated to couldn't find the order for about a week and a half seeming like they gave up trying to find out what happened. Finally, after about a month the best thing they could do was offer a refund and still couldn't tell me what happened to the items I ordered.

Only one purchase made
I’ve only ever bought from Forgeworld once, but I found the whole process to be excellent.
I was debating whether or not to get an ‘Imperial Armour Compendium’ so I emailed them with a few queries. I had a response back within 24 hours and ordered it straight away. To my very pleasant surprise, it arrived within 3 days in excellent condition.
My first and only experience was excellent, however, the other reviews on this site - with no apparent form of response from Forgeworld – is a cause for concern. I will be thinking long and hard about whether or not I can justify taking a risk on purchasing a model which will be the centrepiece of my collection.
If I buy a fake then better to buy it somewhere by fake price
Bought twice from them - once it was an action figure vendored by Games Workshop - it was perfect: packaging and plastic figure. The second one we ordered Gravy Custodes Tank it costs 147$ with the delivery what did we receive: poor package - does not look like official action figure at all, pieces of resin broken in some places within plastic bags, I hope that they will fit to each other at least, but still this was a present - and I would never want to see this disappointing on the face of the person I presented it. The year the production on the package was 2017. Forgeworld, could you please upgrade your production of exclusive models and also respect your customers?
Garbage. Just spent over £63 plus package and…
Just spent over £63 plus package and post for what I can describe as utter glob. I was actually depressed for the first time in over 15 years of building minis.
The resin parts that do not fit together well and match up like there is a copy of the Mariana trench with the gaps.
Overpriced pieces of crappy resin. I will never give a penny more to this overpriced overrated gang of pirates. Shocking.
No order and dreadful customer service!
Placed an order over a month ago and have been chasing it for the last two weeks with one poor and generic response saying my order will be shipped. A week later and still no order. Getting really fed up now and will soon miss the posting deadline to post this item over seas for christmas.
Really really awful customer service which will most likely be blamed on covid as an excuse for just failing customers. Do not recommend at all.

Forgeworld Hates the Warhammer Community
I recently purchased the Tantalus model from Forgeworld, but what I received was a box full of warped, sloppy resin that no amount of time or skill with a heat gun, hobby knife, and sandpaper was going to fix. They should have just sent me a note that said, "Go **** yourself," in response to my order. It would have been the same effect and we both would have saved on shipping. Of course, I brought this embarrassment to manufacturers and craftsmen everywhere to their attention (more than once) and have received nothing but radio silence. I purchased the Mechanicum knight combine from them a little over a year ago, and those models were gorgeous, so I know they can do it, it just seems that, between then and now, they've stopped caring. Whether it's something someone else ordered, or something I've ordered myself, it has been quite some time since I've seen anything come out of Forgeworld that wasn't absolute hot trash. They have some cool designs but, between the arbitrary price increase and monumental decline in quality, Forgeworld should be ashamed of themselves and, frankly, owes the community an apology. However, being that Forgeworld apparently has nothing but contempt for its customers, I wouldn't hold my breath. Nonetheless, until then, I will do everything in my power to steer anyone that will listen away from Forgeworld and towards the plethora of talented third party sculptors and casters that produce a superior product, will respond to you if there's an issue, and actually care about making the gaming community better, not just picking its bones.
